Tell Me a Story is a collection of stories from Hmong students in Laos and two powerful stories from Thailand. It shares their real-life experiences in which they face significant barriers in education. Many Hmong students lack access to quality education, and a lack of cultural relevance in the education system further hinders their educational opportunities.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ming Lee has taught English in South Korea and Laos, and Hmong literacy in Minnesota, which ignited his passion for teaching and advocating for education. He is currently the President of a nonprofit organization called Givers of Dreams, with its mission to create educational opportunities, hopes, and the means to keep dreams alive for all children. He dreams of returning to Southeast Asia in the future to help Hmong students through direct teaching and connecting them with resources that will help them with their educational pursuits.
